Dear Fair Oaks Theatre Festival Friends and Family,
We hope this letter finds you and yours safe and well. Our thoughts are with you all.
During these very uncertain times we are concerned with the future of the Fair Oaks Theatre Festival. We know you are as well. We appreciate all the well wishes from those of you who have reached out to us. We are doing what we can here to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our performers, designers, volunteers, staff, and technicians.
That is why, for the first time in our 37 year history, the Fair Oaks Theatre Festival will not produce Theatre Under the Stars for the summer 2020 season.
I am hoping that you can help us make it through these difficult times so that we will be able to once again bring you the fun, entertaining theatre experience for which the FOTF is known!
Even though we won’t be producing this summer, there is still work for us to do. The majority of our theatrical systems require upgrading for the future. We are in need of a new light board and lighting instruments, a new dimmer rack for lighting control, new microphones and body packs…just to name a few things!
I understand that many of you have been impacted by our current health crisis and have to focus on your family. But, if you are able, we would encourage you to consider making an investment in the world we will return to.
A world that includes The Arts of all kinds – those creative things that bring us joy, laughter, and cherished memories. With your support, we will be able to entertain you for years to come!
